This year Voxx Studios continues to expand its portfolio of clients, grow its talent pool, and see many successes in new territories. Movies from China dubbed by us into English were screened at Berlinale, while the English version of Japanese and Russian documentaries premiered at MIP, in Cannes; one of Brazil’s leader channel will air a program dubbed in Portuguese in our Los Angeles studios, while a movie produced in Brazil and dubbed by Voxx in 10 languages will be shown in theaters around the world, from Japan to Poland.
The “Made by Voxx” English, Portuguese and French versions of many successful Latin American telenovelas are currently being enjoyed by audiences all over Africa, while a Finnish comedy is seducing buyers around the world due to its superb English version, produced by Voxx Studios.
This winter Voxx Studios began construction on an addition to our Los Angeles facilities. The new 5,000 sq. ft. area will house a state-of-the-art ADR, Foley, and music recording studio, a dubbing school and a performing arts center.
DUB-LA is the new dubbing school affiliated with Voxx Studios. Hermes Baroli, one of the leading figures in the Brazilian dubbing industry has brought his dubbing method to Voxx Studios. We are proud to announce that it is the only dubbing school in Los Angeles that is taught by world-renown dubbing professionals. This Fall we will begin offering a variety of classes, including an extensive 12-week course offered in all of Voxx’s basic package of languages: English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, Italian, German and Japanese, designed specifically to serve the dubbing actors.
“Language dubbing is still a hidden golden egg of sorts in the United States, however, more and more foreign markets are beginning to invest heavily in media entertainment. We want to do our part to equip actors for these upcoming avenues of opportunity so that we can all be prepared to produce competitive and quality work,” says Andrei Zinca, Voxx Studios’ President. The performing arts center will host a unique venue purposed to promote the greatest talent not yet discovered. Our talent search team has already begun its work, focusing on all varieties of performance art, from music to stand up comedy, as well as on diversity, the out of the box, and the unexpected. We are collaborating with major Hollywood talent and management agencies.
In addition to those developments, Voxx Studios is announcing an alliance with Color Time, one of Hollywood’s most appreciated boutique labs that specializes in all aspects of digital media, content creation, management, and distribution. Their highly experienced and successful team ( “Modern Family”, and “Arrested Development “), will join forces with Voxx Studios, the expert in audio post-production and localization, to become a “one-stop-shop” for all post production and localization needs.
“We understand that every content provider needs to monetize their product so we sought to create a comprehensive service. It is well understood that in this industry, this is the most efficient, convenient, and cost-effective option for the client. Today there are so many platforms to deliver media to, each with unique formats and requirements, so it is important for content creators to work with experts with the skills to provide all the services necessary to deliver a superior and complete product in end. We can work with the client, no matter where they are in the process, and help them finish their project. The one-stop-shop approach streamlines the correspondence and alleviates the customer from worry, knowing that their project will be accurate, on budget and delivered on time.” – Luke Stefanko, ColorTime
